Moonfolks play Nosferatu, a symphony of Horror (1922)
Moonfolks started in 1996, took a break between 2001 and 2020, to finally become marinated enough to let the world have a taste. Moonfolks creates chaos in order, with feeling and dynamics.
With Murnau's Nosferatu (1922), the Moonfolks bring an impressionistic hammer blow of a soundtrack to a horror classic. A collage of shadows, existentialism, soundscapes, kraut, dark humor and space noir.
The band was founded in 1996 in Ghent, Belgium, when Peter and Jeroen quickly found each other musically despite an age difference of 16 years. Michael joined the group on drums, and hundreds of cassettes and a few performances followed between 1996 and 2001, after which each went their own way.
Jeroen moved to Ireland, where he released records in the bands Groom & Walpurgis Family. Peter explored the experimental side of modular synthesizers with Onsturicheit. Michael traveled and discovered his love for wood and woodworking. Tino joined the band at the resurrection in 2019.
The Moonfolks play on the borderline between arrangement and improvisation.
The Moonfolks are Jeroen, Michael, Peter and Tino.
